THE BRIEF

putting a floating classroom to work.

The M/Y MANTA is not an ordinary charter yacht. A classic flush-deck Burger — donated to MANTA, a marine-science nonprofit — she works double duty: a floating teaching and research platform for College of Charleston scientists, and Charleston's charter megayacht, whose harbor cruises and dockside events fund the organization's marine-science work in the Caribbean. What the nonprofit needed was the machinery to make that second job effortless: a site that tells the yacht's story, takes a booking without a phone call, and hands a brochure to every hotel rack in town.

WHAT WE DID

01

the website

  • Built mantayacht.org on WordPress — the yacht, the story, the experiences, and the rates, composed around the charter photography so the Burger's classic lines do the persuading.
  • Told the double story straight: a luxury cruise on the surface, a marine-science nonprofit underneath — so every guest knows their evening on the water funds research.

02

bookings, wired in

  • Integrated the FareHarbor booking system directly into the site — harbor-cruise tickets and custom experiences bookable straight from the page, no phone call in between.
  • Structured the three experience lines — megayacht harbor cruises, dockside events, and custom charters — so each books through its own clear path.

03

the trifold, rack after rack

  • Designed the charter trifold for the places tourists actually decide — hotel lobbies and the visitor center — and rebuilt it across editions as the offer grew.
  • Carried it through print production: full-bleed layouts sized and adjusted to the local printer's specs, so the rack copy looks as considered as the yacht.

04

foundations & the long run

  • Laid the search foundations — a full SEO audit and keyword research to ground the site's visibility in how people actually look for a Charleston charter.
  • Migrated the site onto Kronikon's managed hosting and keep it running — updates applied, uptime watched, season after season.

THE OUTCOME

a charter that books itself — and a nonprofit funded by every cruise.
